ABOUT
Over the years, we at ThinkYoung have reached the conclusion that cultural barriers, such as the stigma of failure, need to be overcome in order to boost youth entrepreneurship.
We are convinced that entrepreneurs, whether prospective or experienced, are facing a mix of both social and institutional pressures that cast a shadow over their future entrepreneurial activities.
For this reason, we launched the campaign Fail2Succeed with the goal of changing the perception of business failure and of harmonizing the bankruptcy legislation at European level.
RESEARCH
From October 2013, the first research of its type has been conducted across the EU 28 nations,
with the aim to understand young Europeans interpretations and perceptions of "failure".

DOCUMENTARY
ThY/LAB, ThingYoung's audiovisual Lab, followed entrepreneurs from across Europe who have encountered failure, recovered and continued to succeed.
The aim of this documentary is to increase and develop understanding
of the troubles and successes faced by young entrepreneurs who have failed.
POLICY PROPOSAL
Together with DG Enterprise and Industry, ThinkYoung is analysing the bankruptcy laws in six countries across the EU.
The aim is to understand the best and worst practices that are held when it comes to bankruptcy, and the financial affects it has on the entrepreneur involved.
The conclusion will be a written policy proposal given to the European Commision
on ways to improve laws for legal bankrutcys across the EU.

On December 18, 2013 ThinkYoung organised a conference at the
European Parliament as a first step to change bankruptcy law for start-ups.
